Why Tool is the greatest band of all time - The Definitive Guide

Anyone who is a Tool fan knows that they are the greatest band of all time.

Their creativity is paralleled only by great acts like Pink Floyd. But Tool took things even further.

Yet, as a Tool fan, I have often found myself trying to share their amazingness with others… I want to share how Tool is not just about the music…

Tool is about the message.
Tool is one amazing piece of art.
Tool does things that no other bands even come close to.
Tool is philosophy meets music.

In this article, I am going to educate and give a clear definitive guide to Why Tool is the greatest band of all time.

Lateralus & The Fibbonaci Sequence

Let me tell you about the moment I fell in love with Tool…

It wasn’t when I first heard the music.
Yeah, I liked tool then.

But was when I looked further that I fell in love with Tool.

The music is just one piece…

The real secret is what is behind the music.

This was first shown to me when I say this video about Lateralus.

Yes… I know the video is 9 minutes. But if you seriously want to get your mind fucking blown. Then watch it.

Ok… if your going to be a bitch about it, I’ll give you a TL;DR

TL:DR Tool built an entire song based off of the fibonnaci sequence.

The time signatures.
The syylablles of the lyrical phrases.
The actual lyrics of the song.

It all ties together.

It is a song written using the Fibonacci sequence as inspiration fully throughout the piece.

And the whole song is embodying this entire philosophy of Tool.

This idea and lyric of “Spiral out” is this metaphor for never ending expansion and pushing of reality.
